FAQ’s

Is same-day ovulation and pregnancy support testing available at my location?
Check if STAT testing is available at your location here: https://www.junction.com/app/phlebotomy-map (NJ/NY locations use BioReference, all other states use LabCorp; STAT testing is not available in Rhode Island)
What steps should I take after receiving my test results?
We recommend booking a fertility consultation with one of our fertility nurses to review your results. If you are ready to start trying, or are already trying, and you would like ongoing support from our fertility nurses and coaches, you can sign up for Conceive through our website weconceive.com.
How long will the results take to come back?
You should have your results back within 3 business days. Ovulation Support and Pregnancy Support results should come back same-day if you go in for your test before 12pm. You can check if your lab supports STAT here: https://www.junction.com/app/phlebotomy-map (Note that NY/NJ locations use BioReference and all other states use Labcorp). If you are experiencing a delay please email us at testing@weconceive.com.
Can Conceive help if I already have a known fertility issue? (or if i have already done this testing)
Yes! We have a team of fertility nurses and coaches that can learn your history and help you come up with a plan. We recommend signing up for the Conceive membership at weconceive.com/onboarding so you can connect with our team and receive ongoing support. If you would like to schedule a one-time call with them, please email us at testing@weconceive.com.
What states do you offer testing in?
Our lab tests—including the Women’s Basic Fertility Test, Women’s Advanced Fertility Test, Ovulation Support, and Pregnancy Support—are available in 49 states, all except Rhode Island. The Semen Analysis test is available in the contiguous United States. Due to shipping timelines, we’re currently unable to offer semen analysis in Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories.
What labs do you work with? How can I find a lab near me?
If you’re in New York or New Jersey, we partner with BioReference for lab testing. You can find a location near you by visiting: www.bioreference.com/patients/locations-patient-services/find-a-location/ In all other states, we partner with Labcorp. To find a nearby location, go to: www.labcorp.com/labs-and-appointments Please note: We do not currently offer lab testing in Rhode Island.
How do I schedule my lab test?
After you place your order, you’ll get an email with everything you need to schedule your lab appointment. If you ordered the Women’s Basic or Advanced Fertility Test, be sure to schedule your appointment for cycle day 2 or 3 (with day 1 being the first day of your full flow period, not spotting).
How do I complete my lab test? What do I need to bring?
Bring yourself and your phone. The confirmation email you will receive will have the requisition form from the lab. When you arrive at the lab, check in at the front desk. They may already have your lab order, or you may have to show them the requisition form on your form/email it to them. You will not need to show your insurance card since the labs have been pre-paid. Your blood will be drawn—and you're all set! You'll get a text notification as soon as your results are ready.
I’ve been trying for a few months at home and not getting pregnant. What tests should I order?
If you’ve been trying to conceive for a few months without success, it can be helpful to get a more complete picture of what’s going on—for both you and your partner. We recommend starting with: (1) Women’s Advanced Fertility Test – This gives you a full view of your reproductive and overall health, including hormones, thyroid, vitamin D, and key screenings important for pregnancy. (2) Semen Analysis (for male partners) – Male factors contribute to nearly half of infertility cases. It is recommended to have a semen analysis done to assess the semen parameters. (3) Ovulation Support Test – This helps confirm if and when you’re ovulating, so you can better time intercourse or insemination.
I’m not trying to conceive yet, but I’m curious about my fertility. Can these tests help?
Yes—being proactive is one of the best things you can do. Since age is a leading factor affecting fertility, getting a baseline now can help you make informed decisions down the line. For women, we recommend starting with the Basic Fertility Test, which measures key hormones including AMH, an indicator of ovarian reserve. Once your results are in, one of our fertility nurses can walk you through what they mean and whether it might make sense to consider next steps like egg freezing. For men, the best thing you can do is get a semen analysis!
How does the semen analysis test work?
We’ve partnered with Legacy to offer at-home semen analysis—so you can get answers without leaving your house. They’ll ship a discreet kit to your door, you’ll collect your sample at home, and then send it back to their lab using the prepaid return label. Your results will be available in your Conceive dashboard in just 3 business days.
What does semen analysis test for?
Legacy’s at-home semen analysis looks at the most important factors of sperm health—volume, concentration, motility, total count, morphology, and DNA fragmentation. It’s a clinic-grade test you can take from the comfort of home. Unlike many other at-home options, Legacy’s test includes insights on motility, morphology, and DNA fragmentation—which are key for understanding fertility.
How do I prepare for my semen analysis?
We recommend abstaining from ejaculation for 2–5 days before collecting your sample—this helps ensure the most accurate results. Once your kit arrives, open it right away. If you’re not planning to collect your sample immediately, refrigerate the small bottle of sperm transport liquid inside the kit. When you're ready, take it out of the fridge 45 minutes beforehand so it can reach room temperature. Legacy will also send you an email to create a login for their portal, where you can track your kit and follow detailed instructions for the process.
How does shipping work for semen analysis and when will I get my results?
After collecting your sample, you'll need to register your kit and follow Legacy’s instructions for packaging it. The sample must be dropped off at a FedEx location the same day you produce it. You can only ship your sample Monday through Thursday before 3 PM—this ensures it gets to the lab on time. Once Legacy receives your sample, your results will be available in your Conceive dashboard within 3 business days.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card to pay for Conceive Assess testing?
Yes! Conceive Assess is eligible for HSA and FSA payment. You can use your HSA or FSA card directly at checkout for all Assess testing options. Stripe automatically recognizes these purchases as eligible, so there’s no extra paperwork or reimbursement needed.
